Question:13 month old boy with bow legs and walks on outside of feet. This is bilateral condition. Regular Pediatrician said he’ll grow out of it. Will he? Does he need care sooner?
Answer:Bow legs is a common condition in young children, and most children do grow out of it. More information can be found here: https://orthokids.org/Condition/Bowed-Legs-Knock-Knees
If the condition is severe you may have your child evaluated by a pediatric orthopaedist to ensure that he does not have Blount's disease. A listing of specialists may be found here: https://member.posna.org/Member/Members/Find-A-Doctor/Directory
