Spinal Fusion

A spinal fusion procedure permanently stabilizes a crooked spine. Typically, a combination of hooks and/or screws connected to two rods are used to hold the bones of the spine in place. The actual fusion occurs in the months after your child’s surgery when their body produces bone around the hooks, screws, and rods.
