Guided growth is often used for children who have bowed legs or knocked knees, or help children who have crooked ankles. Your surgeon may use a small plate with screws to change the direction that the bone is growing. Your surgeon must keep a close eye on your child after this surgery, so make sure all scheduled clinic appointments are made.
