Question:

How is recently found hip dysplasia in a 7 year old treated typically?

- Kandy - New Hampshire (Parent)

Answer:

Treatment at this age can be quite variable, and depends on several things, including the severity of the hip dysplasia and whether both hips are affected. In some cases surgery is needed. I would recommend consultation with a pediatric orthopaedist.

A directory can be found here. More information on hip dysplasia can be found here.
