Question:

My son fell off his bike over Memorial Day weekend and fractured his elbow (not sure the name of the bone). He had a soft cast on and currently has a hard cast. We brought him to the hospital of special surgeries in manhattan NYC and the doctor there went over his x-rays and suggested he get surgery using pins as his bone seemed displaced. He is only 5.5 years old and hate the thought of him having surgery at this young age. I am attaching x-rays of his arm and was curious to get a second opinion.

My 2.5 years old boy is telling me that his lower back hurts like a pinch. When he was 14 months old he was administered a spinal tap in his lower back. Is it possible that the pain is associated with the spinal tap? We would like to rule it out as an issue to be concerned about.

Question:

Has anyone come across a six year olds elbow become frozen in either full extention or full flexion? After two surgeries due to a broken elbow we were recommended to use a static progressive stretch device because of lack of ROM and its use has resulted in this new condition. We are not sure what to do for our little girl and there seem to be no experts we can turn too.
